July Fun Fly

Just a quick blog for the July monthly kite fly as Canal days report will come early next week. The weather was perfect but the winds not so much. They were coming from the north which means the trees and the warm city air gave us a challenge in getting our kites high enough to fly on their own.

Just after 2:00 we gathered to finalize the Canal Days Kite Festival.

Tyrone got ambitious and had 3 kites in the air at the same time! Now he will have to learn how to do the same with dual line kites!

Here's Donna's little devil (no, not Fred) she acquired at the year end kite fly and dinner.

We had about 15 attendees for the fly, and although it was difficult to keep the kites in the air, we still had people stopping and watching.

Don't forget to come down on Sunday for the Kite Festival. It looks like we will have a record number of kiters attending! Come early to set up, and enjoy the day. The weather promises to be fantastic. See you on Sunday.
