September Fun Fly

The sun was out, it was hot, there was no wind. Sigh, a perfect day to fly kites was not to be. The wind was barely 5kms. None the less, a small group showed up to attempt to get kites up. Fred and Donna, Bob Luft, Drew, Peggy and myself made up the attendance. Bob had no trouble flying his small homemade kites. Fred attempted to get the Sutton airborn, which he managed for about 15 minutes. The tree actually did all the work!

Drew managed to fly a Rok for a short time. I flew Pink Floyd the flamingo for about 10 minutes. I then attempted to fly a Rev for a bit, but that too was more work than fun.
Donna had the most fun by making giant bubbles. A father an daughter came over and the little girl finally got the courage to chase them.

The windmills saw the most wind, but often were pointed in opposite directions.

Hopefully we will get one of those rare October days that are warm and sunny for our next club fly on the 30th. Hope everyone can come out and have some fun.
