The last fun fly of the season turned out to be one of the best flying days we have had. The August Club fly coincided with the tail end of hurricane Irene which meant very strong gusty winds. My readings were 25km gusting as high as 38/39 kms, and that was at ground level. At Lakeview Park on June 27th, we had our monthly club kite fly. There were around 20 members who came out to sunny/cloudy skies and 8 to 15km winds. Canal Days Night Fly Canal Days 2007 was a great success! In the morning we had sunny skies and steady winds @9km from the East. For our June club fly, we were asked to participate in the Subway Beach Festival on Nickel Beach. It was a warm, sunny day and 43 kiters put on a spectacular show for the festival.
